Preferences: 6.0 or 6.1

hi everyone! i was just wondering if anyone who has recently (or ever, for that matter) upgraded from wm6 to wm6.1 preferred the old over the new or vice versa and why. i'm almost to the point where i feel comfortable enough to cook a rom and upgrade my verizon phone for more functionality, but im still unsure. i really just dont want to lose what i have now, you know? thanks everyone for your replies

20273 running WM 6.1 in BuildOS is the most stable I have seen yet.

Re: Preferences: 6.0 or 6.1

I've had absolutely no reasons to prefer 6.0. 6.1 was, for me, better in every way. More stable, better memory management, threaded SMS, etc. I haven't looked back since switching to 6.1 builds.

And I'll mirror MrObvious's sentiment. I'm on 20748 right now and am considering going back to 20273. Too many little niggling issues. Overall stable, but just a few things don't seem right.

turbofool, you've never had any problems with the native threaded sms in 6.1?

Re: Preferences: 6.0 or 6.1

only theoretical issue ive had with the threaded messages is that I have to click on each message to clear the new txt count, but that takes like half a second

Re: Preferences: 6.0 or 6.1

im actually back on the stock alltel rom for right now. i ran a **** ton of 6.1 roms on dif builds. they all will have their problems, might have a little better mem mgmt on 6.1 buidls, maybe better battery life, but really the main dif is basically threaded sms. it is really nice, but it also had that random bug that came up where the box where you're inputting your message wouldnt scroll down with the words you were typing, so you couldnt see anything past about 2 lines of text your wrote. it was definitely annoying.

on 6.0 i stil have gps, and if the towers by me had rev a i would still have that. so im not really in a hurry to flash again- until something totally new like nuerom3 atleast...

Try flashing a 20273 Kitchen ajm144k. If you want I can help you get rolling. I got everything working fine and even got MMS working which doesn't natively in BuildOS.
