Quick Question about Olipro 1.2 and GPS enable roms

If I downgrade to 1.2, install the new .50 radio while I already have a gps enable rom(no257 kitchen) will it fry my phone so I can't upgrade back up to 2.40 oli?

Re: Quick Question about Olipro 1.2 and GPS enable roms

The .50 radio is not worth the trouble. Just do the .40 radio. Works great for me. IMO it is a total waste of time to do the 3.42.50 radio.

Re: Quick Question about Olipro 1.2 and GPS enable roms

lol. it won't fry your phone.
I'm not sure what will happen as I have not tried it however I have read about others doing it.

As long as you can run olipro while in bootloader you should be good.
I don't think the OS will load with 1.2 but you should be able to get into bootloader to flash radio and then 2.4.

.40 is running good for me as well although radio performance is pretty subjective.

Downgrade spl to 1.2.............flash the radio......then flash spl 2.47 (recommended) or Olipro 2.4......back in business

I have run both .40 and .50.......no difference IMHO....

Personally I would not mess with the BL......just flash from SDcard....no hard reset of the phone....takes a minute

Re: Quick Question about Olipro 1.2 and GPS enable roms

how did you downgrade to olipro 1.2 and then back up to 2.47 without installing a rom in order to use activesync with the computer??

right now i'm stuck on olipro 1.2, and i want to go to no2chem's 2.47, but i don't want to have to install a rom in order to do that. i've searched everywhere for the a raw 2.47 nbh (if there is any) to upgrade directly from my flash card, but haven't found any!
