My Titan (replacing an Apache) comes today, need a little info

My Titan is coming today. I've already cooked a new WM6.1 rom for it, but I would love to upgrade the radio at the same time.

Can someone please post a definitive answer on what the newest radio that supports REV A and working GPS is?

Can someone tell me any downsides to this radio? For example, 1.43 is the newest on the apache, but it's caused me a few problems and once I went back to 1.41 everything was ok.

Thanks!

Doug

In order to do the upgrade remember you will first have to update the bootloader using Olipro 2.40 and the radio to something 3.35 or higher to do GPS and both are needed before you flash the ROM.

Radio 3.42.50

Also read this thread here first as it will help alot

And I imagine you will run into what I ran into, and that is the GPS not working. If you run into this, first check your PRI version by going to EPST in \Windows or if you have a ROM that has Advanced Settings folder, go to EPST Config, click Edit, type in 000000 (6 zero's) and your PRI version is listed. The version that works and is good is 1.35_002. If you have 2.03_002, go to HERE

Re: My Titan (replacing an Apache) comes today, need a little info

I just got a new 6800 cus i scratched my screen. I called tech support at alltel and told them my screen gor really warm at times and would make a high pitched sound. lol So i had them RMA me a new one. I have followed the steps given in the upgrade forum and it worked like a champ. GPS and everything else is good to go. Just follow the tutorials you cant go wrong. All thats left is upgrading to the new radio. PPCGEEKS ROCK!!!.
