Official Verizon Update Broke Gps For All Roms~! Help!!!!

You didnt mention if you enabled the location of the device. Everything else looks fine

Phone -> Menu -> Options -> More -> Location Settings

Yes.. I have Location ON as well..

Strange. It sees a ton of sats, just never gets a fix/lock.

I just reflashed and same deal..

here is a link for all the files you need to get gps back after the new update messed it up.

Steps:
1) Use Titan to Stock Verizon.rar, use the titan_relocker.exe (do not extract the file, just run the exe) then use the RUU folder and run the update to fully return it back to stock. LET CUSTOMIZATIONS RUN!

2) Use nueSLP2.47 to change the bootloader
3) Flash 3.42.50 Radio vis SD card! (easiest method!)
4) Flash custom rom
5) Use TitanGPSfix.rar (has all the files and instructions how to do the fix)

Good news!

I went outside and tried one more time before running the reverse procedure.

Turns out, I was not waiting long enough for a "fix".

I went outside and after 4 minutes or so, I had a 2D lock.
Then after 5 minutes I had 3D and 11 sats.

I launched Google Maps and put it in Satellite mode.

I kid you not...I walked around the concrete of my pool and it followed me around the pool. It was off just a little, but I am impressed.

Thanks for the help and glad I tried just 1 more time.

So, since I didn't let the new Verizon ROM run Customization, I appear to be OK.

even though the new pri has not changed by doing the whole steps.. i still get sats and locks.. nice! but what i have noticed if you start to do sat lock (using primer like baf today screen toggle) the internet connection activates.. interesting!

I wonder if it is trying to chat with the PDE servers. Does WM 6.1 have an equivalent program to NET USE or NETSTAT too see where it is trying to talk?

i dont know.. but even if i turn the radio off and just use htc gps tool to try to get a lock, it still locks.. but i have noticed i am getting consistent locks ~1min. I been testing for 2 days now.. with lots of soft resets and i even tried taking out the battery and restarting my xv6800.. and still getting good locks~!

All you need to do is flash back to the original original VZW ROM and tlet the customizaitons run. Then upgrade as you did before you upgraded to the "Official" GPS ROM.

BTW: Telus ROMS rock. They have the BEST radio our for the titan and the lateset AKU. Go Telus!

I just want to confirm that this method worked for me! I now have GPS again. Short of doing this procedure, I tried everthing I could find on this board and XDAdevelopers, but nothing worked.

I downgraded to the original OEM ROM and then upgraded to a Custom ROM and Radio. I checked the EPST when it was running the stock ROM and the PRI showed 1.35_002. After getting it back to the custom ROM it then showed 2.03_002. I did loose my A-key and data. Fortunately, I had an old Verizon 6700 that I reactivated online, then reactivated my 6800. That worked perfectly to reset the both the voice and data without calling Verizon.

After all the reading I've done, I still don't understand why this method works - it seems like it has to be something more than the PRI causing the GPS loss. Or maybe the PRI really didn't change back to 2.03_002, and is just displayed wrong. After all, it did display version 1.35_002 after reverting back to the OEM ROM. Hopefully someone will figure it out.
