Help with my verizon XV6800

I am very interested in upgrading the roms on this phone so I can use the GPS. I know there are many roms and instructions here with links leading to other roms and instruction and lockers and unlockers etc..

What do I need to do in what order to upgrade? What roms would you suggest?

I have Rom ver: 2.09 and radio ver 1.30

Re: Help with my verizon XV6800

I am a Verizon user as well. The instructions in my tutorial will work just fine for you. If you don't want to make your own ROM with the kitchen then use the instructions to unlock, load a new gps enabled radio and load a custom ROM. Custom ROMS are floating everywhere on here. Jakdillard, nexvision, no2chem and DCD all have customs on here. The link to the tutorial is in my signature. It has everything you need to know. You can flash your phone with the info listed there and you don't have to bounce from link to link. The links in the tutorial are for downloads, not further direction. You can read the other threads if you like more clarity, but all the info you need is in the tutorial.

I'm a Verizon Titan owner too... if you want to take use of the GPS enable Roms, then you have to update the Radio as well, otherwise the GPS won't work. So basically, you have to upgrade to Olipro 2.40 or of the like, update your Radio, and then upgrade your Rom to whatever you'd like, then most likely run a carrier cab! seems like a lot, but its really not. Trust me its worth it.

Just as a side note, you're most likely going to have to call Verizon after the radio has been updated, so they can "Authorize" your phone again. I'd go into further explanation, but this is long enough.
