Want to make sure I am updating ROM/Radio Properly - Please Advise

Hey guys,

I've done this a few times before, but the last time I updating my rom and radio I used the Sprint upgrade although I have Verizon, I wanted the new radio. I was dumb though and let the customizations run, which really f*ed up my phone, I had to get a new one.

What I want to do is use DCD's new 3.2.5 rom with the 3.42 radio. What I believe the proper way to do this is to flash to the Sprint ROM (http://www.htc.com/us/FAQ_Detail.aspx?p_id=75&act=sd) and then flash DCD's 3.2.5 ROM right over that and I ought to be all set, right?

It's been a litle while since I've done this and I've been focusing on working on my car so if someone could take a few moments and lay out what I ought to do that would be great, and much appreciated.

what i do is flash the sprint rom....the screen will come up that says tap here or something, just before the calibration, and i take the phone and put it aside, then open the kitchen and create a rom, plug in the phone and flash. this way i never even get close to the sprint customization crap. i never have, but i guess on the tap screen you could put it into bootloader and that would prevent a screw up. remember you first have to unlock and all. good luck

good advise, the only extra step i would take is to hard reset at the calibration screen and let it sit there the second go round before flashing a custom ROM....i find, that the extra hard reset prevents a lot of little freak bug encounters...

Did it before you two posted, but I did exactly what you recommended. Now I have a record of what to do incase I forget, thanks guys.
