k, i dont know if im just missing something? or im stupid?

got a mogul, i have not loaded any roms, i ran the hard SPL2.40, its stuck in BL, i have newest sprint upgrade, it gives me connection error, i tried using a ruu, and pulling the nbh out of the sprint upgrade, same problem, tried a few custom roms, and it never connects, i cant use the ext bl, am i missing something so damn obvious its gonna hit me in the head?
