GPS Won't Work

I just cooked and flashed the Titan 5067 onto my XV6800, upgraded radio (3.35) and Google Maps. Sometimes the GPS will pinpoint a location but it's either in the middle of the ocean or a few hundred miles away. I've got Location set to On, Com4, and 4800 baud rate. Any suggestions?

I finally got it to work with both Google Maps and Live Search, but I don't believe I'm locking in enough satellites. One minute I'll be in "Joplin, Missouri," the next I'll be in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Any advice?

I've gone through that religiously a few times with no avail.

I've got the 3.49.NO2.5066 (5067) ROM and the 3.35.04 ROM Radio and I'm still not able to pinpoint my exact location. I've even tried sitting on my roof to get some extra strength signaling but that failed miserably, haha!

it throws you in the middle of the ocean when it can't get a lock for a while. as a non-sprint user you don't have access to a GPS assistance server, so the performance will probably never rival that of a real GPS unit, but you may want to try this:

yea, I just realized that the tread was "cleaned up" and many of the things you could try have been archived..

good luck, break a leg...
