Slow to connect to network!

I just upgraded to the new rom and it takes 3 mins when I reboot my phone to connect to the network. Can someone post the registry tweak for this? I had done it previously to my phone on a flash before but have been unable to find that post.

Re: Slow to connect to network!

I have having this same issue. Some people recommended reflashing again which doesn't make any sense to me. I have not tried reflashing myself. Anyone else having trouble like this?

Re: Slow to connect to network!

Well it looks like we are the only two to be experiencing this problem. I have not had to restart my phone in a week so I'm ok for now.

Re: Slow to connect to network!

No you guys are not the only ones. I had the same problem with my vzw 6800 after my last flash. Ended calling VZW and they sent a replace phone, but between calling and getting the phone I found this link by searching here and xda forums.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...arching+signal

I followed this: It worked for me and I sent the replacement phone back to VZW.. did not need it.

Quote below.. from above link...

There's a whole thread devoted to this right here somwhere...

You need to do the following:

phone app, dial *22803 or *22802 (whichever one gets you a signal) and hit phone hang-up when you get a signal and it says it's starting to program. Now that you have a signal do the next step.

phone app, dial ##778
select "EDIT" and enter the 000000 unlock code
select "VIEW INFO" and select "M.IP Settings"

Edit MIP_MODE and change to something else, then go back and change it again back to "Mobile IP Preferred".

Do the smae for MIP reg retried, retry timeout and pre-registration timeout.

Change all the values, ok, then change them again back to the original setting.

Settings are: Mob IP Pref, 2 retries, 1750ms retry timeout, 0 pre-reg timeout.

When you're all done save and exit - soft-resets your phone.

You should be good after this.

Good luck!
