Re: JD's ROM's

JD:

Are you planning making any changes to increase battery life. I use the phone a lot, both for calls and exchange email. I know No2 was able to make changes that extended my battery life to the point I would only charge at night. With your ROM I am out of juice by 5pm everyday.

There are many reason why I would rather stay with your rom:

Speed, stability, available memory, to name a few. But I really need battery life.

Any insight would be great!

honestly there are regedits I could do that increase the battery life but then you would have to worry about the instabilities that come along with it so no I really don't wanna tweak the power settings to much ... but I can see what I can do

Re: JD's ROM's

Huh? What's wrong with battery life?

I get fantastic battery life out of this ROM... I don't know what you're doing wrong, blitzed... My battery lasts about a day and a half with moderate usage.

I use my phone a lot and I find that I only need charge nightly. After a full day of usage (calls, web browsing, games, ect..) at the end of the day I still have between 15-25% battery life left.

Keep in mind that when you have poor signal strength (0-1 bars), even if youre not making calls, it will suck up more battery power, and even more so if your roaming.

Also, if you go into Settings>Connections>Beam and make sure you have the "recieve all incoming beams" unchecked if you leave your bluetooth on all the time (which will also affect your battery life). Leaving it unchecked will save power when bluetooth is in use.

Hope this helps ya.

Re: JD's ROM's

No probs with battery here! I can go a couple of days at least between charges, but Im not a power user by no means and I dont use it for push mail! Speed so far is great set to a 4meg PP. Tried it at 4.5, 4.9, 6, and 8 with no major differences in performance. My only active apps are SPB MS and Suite and it holds at 22megs all day! I agree with many people that have tried this ROM when they say that is by far the best ROM to date anywhere for the Titan! No compromises!! Thank U JD!

Re: JD's ROM's

I've never had battery problems with any ROM I had installed, especially JD's. I always go a few days without charging it.

Just end any unneeded processes you may have running. You don't need IE, the Comm Manager, and Windows Media Player open if you aren't using them, so just end the tasks and don't roam.

Re: JD's ROM's

So when we flash your extrom package, are the cabs supposed to install themselves? none of the programs installed, but I can see the extrom w/ all the cabs in there.
