no really I make the rom for me and share with you I'm really not wanting to add any third party apps unless its something that can help with performance

Re: JD's ROM's

Hey JD,

Thanks A TON for this rom, I like'm lean and mean. No issues yet, but haven't tried BT syncing or networking yet.

Which kitchen did this rom come from?

I ask because it's a very small control panel extension but can't be loaded after the fact. Must be cooked into the ROM. So nice having the wifi switch control the ringer.

I'm not good enough yet to know how to take someone else's ROM, load it into a kitchen and then add my own OEM with registry entries.

Re: JD's ROM's

Argh! I just flashed to a different ROM not too long ago and then I see you released a newer one.

I'll wait until your next release before I flash again, I'm too lazy. Regardless, thank you for your hard work. This ROM is very promising.

Check no2chem's blog. His latest, August 9, says that he is working on a .cab for nueWiFiSwitch.

I’ve uploaded several more nueTools, such as nueMassStorage, nueExtRom and nuePower. I’m still having a little trouble getting nueWiFiSwitch working as a cab, I will get that up as soon as I’m done with it. You can find the uploaded nueTools under nueTools in the menu.

Re: JD's ROM's

How exactly does one go about making a custom rom without the use of a kitchen such as DCD's or PPCGeeks ? I really want to try JD's rom, but I'd like to insert OEM packages into it. Also, how does one access or modify the XIP ? I doubt I'd do anything but break my device, but I'd like to play around with it nevertheless.

I guess the easier thing to do would be to do as the previous poster mentioned - rip the base set from the rom and use it in the kitchen. Anyone know how to do that, or can point me in the right direction ?

Use this.....Dan htc.....cabbed it up.....then just extract any OEMS from the kitchens and place them on your storage card and Nuepackage Installer will find them.....
