Extracting a PRI

I'm curious if there is a way to extract a PRI using QPST. Secondly, if thats possible is it then possible to load the extracted PRI on another device.

I had sprint customization run on a phone and I'd like to retrieve my networks PRI from a friends 6800 and restore it on mine. Thanks!

Re: Extracting a PRI

He said PRI a few times so he probably actually wants the PRI, not sure if you can get that though.

Re: Extracting a PRI

you can try to run radiorefurbish, but if that doesnt work then you probably have to flash back to stock for your carrier, let the customizations run, then upgrade again to whatever rom you are on(make sure not to let the customizations run again...)

Re: Extracting a PRI

Yes, I mean the PRI.

The problem is I have a ghetto carrier (Appalachian Wireless) and there isn't a stock rom. I have a friend who works for them as sales exec. and he said they use a third party (can't remember their name right now) for all their roms but I checked out their site and there isn't anything available. He has been able to hook me up with stuff programming for any phone I request, but hes not much of a tech guy. One ray of hope is when they go live with EVDO in a month or so there is going to be an over the air flash but I'm not sure what all is going to be updated.

I'm open to any other suggestions.

Re: Extracting a PRI

there is more than likely a cab in your friends extended rom. If you extract the contents and post them here, we can tell to which one is for the PRI

Re: Extracting a PRI

PRI = Primary Manufacturer's Instruction, or something like that.
PRL = Primary Roaming List - not nearly the same thing.
(This is sort of explained on XDA forum.)

I highly suspect that it is not possible.
Otherwise the brain trust around here would have figured this out a long time ago. Since it is what gets hosed when you let the Sprint customizations run and you have to restore an original rom and do the *228 programming to get back on your network. It would be great if there was a backup and restore feature/program for that as it would save much knashing of teeth, headaches and other unmentionables. It would be way cool, speaking from experience (ongoing), if this had been possible - or could be in the future.

I really hope one, or more, of the SW gurus around here will attempt to figure this out.
