Re: Titan 20270 GPS kitchen
All right, I just completed my first cooked ROM in quite some time and had two issues that are interesting:
I picked the latest build of MSVC in the kitchen and there's absolutely no sign of it in my ROM. I had to go ahead and install the cab I have to get it to work. Any idea what, if anything, I did wrong? I was disappointed that I wouldn't have access to no2chem's WiFi Switch application when I cooked my ROM since there doesn't appear to be an OEM for it anywhere, and yet here it is on my cooked ROM. What did I choose in the kitchen that installed it without me realizing it? I want to know so I can be sure not to accidentally deselect that in the future. |

Re: Titan 20270 GPS kitchen
I think the problem with the new RARs is that some of the RGUs are in Unicode.
I extracted each RGU that I had a build issue with, converted it to ASCii and BuildOS completed without issue. Just my observation. |

Re: Titan 20270 GPS kitchen
There was no control panel item for it, though, which was the problem I was seeing. I had no way to configure it even if it did exist in some form or another. What I did notice was that on my first boot there was a second Hardware Switch item in Personal (the real one was in System) with a black square for an icon. It didn't do anything when I tried to open it. After installing my MSVC cab this disappeared and the MSVC icon appeared on the Personal tab.

EDIT: I stand corrected. The Dev of BuildOS says it will work with either ASCII or Unicode encoded rgu files, but normally all rgu's are in Unicode format. Last edited by justpctech; 08-14-2008 at 08:56 PM. |

Re: Titan 20270 GPS kitchen
Does anyone know what the default pagepool setting is for this kitchen? I was thinkin about maybe changing it (just to see if I could get more free program RAM for iGo 8 or Opera Mobile, since either one will use ALL my RAM, and crash if ANY other program opens, like a phone call or txt msg comming in). I did some searching through the forum here and on google but came up with nothing. Also, what's the easiest way to change it? *Edit* I see It can be change in BuildOS. I've never changed it, but it's currently at like 3.5MB. Is that what I cooked then? IS that the default?

Re: Titan 20270 GPS kitchen
Default pagepool is set at 4 now. Easiest way to change it, before pressing Play in BuildOS- click Tools, change pagepool size. Pay no attention to the number that shows up in the current pagepool size box- its usually not correct.
