First off do a soft reset....see if it exits BL......

If that does not do it run this program (attached zip) and follow these instructions....


1. Stop ActiveSync, by Task Manager (press Ctrl + Alt + Delete)
kill two processes rapimgr.exe and wcescomm.exe

2. connect your device.

3. Run mtty and Choose WCEUSBSH001 in 'PORT' (if it doesn't show then you didn't stop all active sync processes above!)

4. type "set 16 0" without the quotes to tell bootloader to boot the OS after reset. (for some devices it can also be "set 14 0")

5. type "task 8" to get your device formatted

6. type "task 0" to ask your device reboot

7. disconnect the phone, and manually reset it if it does not do that already.


After exiting...................

Do this first.....follow the instructions on the HTC website...

Sprint Offical Sprint 3.56 MOGUL 6.1 Rom is now posted at HTC.com this will get you the latest radio...

I suggest you read this before anything else....read it carefully and follow the instructions.....

Install a Custom ROM:

5. If wanting to install a custom rom:
>a. run the unLocker for 3.x and above
(don't worry about getting out of the bootloader - tri-color screen)


Then run this (follow the instructions) and you can start flashing whatever you want....

Is there a trick to getting the ## codes to work? I have tried from the phone codes directory, windows direcory. data, rtn, prev, do not work. Also is there a dialer that allows these to work? Thanks

Edit: Loaded the htc dialer and the dialer codes fix. It will allow some to work but not the above codes.

Has anyone gone back to 20226 without problems? you cant go back to 19588 so curious if it breaks this too

Yes, I did twice (I cannot live without being able to select multiple emails in the 20270 build) and the first time I went straight back and had problems. The second time I first loaded the official 3.56 then I loaded the 20226 and it has been working fine.

My GPS is not working. I am letting it run forever and nothing. It worked brilliantly with 19588. I have radio 3.39. Verizon 6800.

Try updating your radio version to 3.42.30. I am getting a lock in under 30 seconds inside my house.

oh good idea. Im on VZW and didnt think about loading the sprint official rom like i did when i did for the radio. Ill try it tonite. thanks...maybe i can go back to 19588.

anyone else having the problem of tmail.exe not closing properly? I use pocket plus to close apps and normally everything closes without problems. But since loading this new kitchen tmail.exe shows as a running process using memmaid.
