Dialer ## Codes Fix

After a nice find by Dan-htc-touch early this morning, during a night of trying to find working dialers for the newer kitchen bases, we have got this fix for the ## Codes in a few of the dialers so far. Simply install this cab, reset the device and the codes will work on the following dialers:

HTC Diamond Dialer
HTC DualTouch Dialer
HTC Vogue Dialer

Dialer ## Code Fix Cab Here

The registry entry it affects is the following:

Code:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\DialParser]
"DLL-OEM"="file_name.dll"
(Entry gets changed to Phonecanvas.dll)
This may also effect the way 911 calls work on the device. I have found that with the HTC Diamond Dialer when dialing 911, the device will "seem" to lock up for about 2 seconds, beep 3 times then connect the call. On ending the call, signal stays at 1X until the phone is turned off and back on by use of the Comm manager or the device is reset.

Is this 911 behavior before or after applying the fix?

How often do you really have to dial 911?

It would seem to me that having to dial it just once would be enough to want it to work.

Dialing it just once was enough to make me wish it didn't.

It works just fine. Its just that it may need a reset of the device after the call. Hence my question, how often are people calling 911 that this is really an inconvenience.
