Re: Titan 20270 GPS kitchen

I'm pretty cure that NETCF 3.5 was selected. But interestingly, I re-installed HTC Home Customizer from a .cab and it works fine now. Maybe a bad OEM?

Thanks for the suggestion on Quickmenu. I'll try that the next time that I flash. I'll also check out Throttle Launcher.

1. Had the top bar go away at first. Whe it did, I couldn't exit programs or get to the start menu. A soft reset cleared it up, and I haven't had it happen again....yet.

2. HTC Home Customizer doesn't work. When I try to run it, I get the following error message: "An unexpected error has occurred in homecust.exe. Select Quit and then restart this program, or select Details for more information.

File or assembly name 'OpenNETCF.Drawing, Version=2.2.0.0,Culture=neutral,PublicKeyToken=E60 DBEA84BB431B7, or one of its dependencies, was not found.

So, now I'm in a quandry. Since I had my Apache, I've always been fond of several of the HTC utilities and associated goodies (ie: HTC Home and HTC Task Manager) I know that, as GGURU says....HTC Task Manager is an evil little app. I also know that HTC Home has a memory leak, and has cause issues too. BUT, they are VERY useful apps, they used to work VERY well on HTC devices, and best of all they are FREE.

I'm finally at the point where I may be ready to leave the old apps behind, especially since they dont seen to like to play well with the new builds. My question is....what is a good, lightweight, and free task manager to replace HTC Task Manager? Also, what is a good replacement for HTC Home? I really like, and use all of the features of HTC Home, so I need something that has as many of those as possible. I've also considered trying Touchflo, as it seems pretty cool, but people have had mixed results with it.

What is the closest thing to the Diamond out there? I've seen several diamond themes, but these are still in development it seems, and somewhat buggy.

Well, sorry to get off on a tangent on something not really related to this build, but I'm probably not alone in that the newer builds are prompting (or even forcing) the use of different apps to keep a familiar feel, but still have the possibility of new features and a cooler interface.
My favorite is WKTask because it has the open programs in tabs like XP and Vista on the task bar.

Re: Titan 20270 GPS kitchen

I didn't see any other place to post this but I fixed the shortcut for Windows Live NoIM OEM so that it is in the startmenu\programs folder and is directed correctly to the .exe file.

included in the zip is the initflashfiles.txt and the Windows Live shortcut.

Re: Titan 20270 GPS kitchen

This Dialer is pretty nice and I added the correct ETPhone.dll so that the smartdial works. Best dialer I have found that works with 20226 and 20270.

Edit: Forgot to make it a phone button in the OEM so that only one dialer can be selected. fixed now.
Also, the ## codes do work in this Dialer, havn't tried 911.

This is coming from the diamond sip. Touch on the keyboard on the bottom of the screen to open keyboard. Hit the small arrow and a list will appear. Choose Touch Diamond Keypad. The choose options (right side of keyboard above backspace key). Choose options (below the dropdown menu). Uncheck "turn on one-touch symbol entry" Go to XT9 settings and uncheck all the boxes.

Re: Titan 20270 GPS kitchen

I don't know if this makes any difference but these two are included in the 19588 and 20226 builds but not in the 20270?

Dialer ## Codes Fix

After a nice find by Dan-htc-touch early this morning, during a night of trying to find working dialers for the newer kitchen bases, we have got this fix for the ## Codes in a few of the dialers so far. Simply install this cab, reset the device and the codes will work on the following dialers:

HTC Diamond Dialer
HTC DualTouch Dialer
HTC Vogue Dialer

Dialer ## Code Fix Cab Here

The registry entry it affects is the following:

Code:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\DialParser]
"DLL-OEM"="file_name.dll"
(Entry gets changed to Phonecanvas.dll)
This may also effect the way 911 calls work on the device. I have found that with the HTC Diamond Dialer when dialing 911, the device will "seem" to lock up for about 2 seconds, beep 3 times then connect the call. On ending the call, signal stays at 1X until the phone is turned off and back on by use of the Comm manager or the device is reset.
