If you can give more details on how the device acts when you try to play them; ie: does it lag on opening it, does it give any errors? edit: another member in chat also tested with same results as me, played fine for them.

Re: Titan 20270 GPS kitchen
Just an FYI. I just installed 20270 on my phone. All seems well so far so far except for bluetooth. I was hoping this build would fix the issue but it doesn't. The issues is this; when I try to send a file via bluetooth, I can select the other device, it then sits fore a few secs and *poof*, it dissappears, never transfers. I had this same problem with the 20226 kitchen. Anyone else?
(btw, HTC Task Manager definitely screw with the top bar, also when enabled adds an addidtional 30-35secs on boot, I disabled it and both problems are gone) |

And yes, I have stated that HTC Task Manager is an evil little bugger. However people still like it for some reason so we leave it in. I will try to update it so I can see if there is a resolution to the issue.

Re: Titan 20270 GPS kitchen
How do I completely uninstall the BuildOS and all it's options so that I can start from scratch? I tried the uninstall BuildOS program and then deleted all files and folders in ppckitchen. That did not totally clear my settings and still had problems with OEMizer not "taking". After installing again, I tried to uninstalling using Vista's program uninstall and then deleted everything left behind. There has to be another place that data is stored because my saved ROM shows up after I uninstalled and installed twice.
How can I totally erase everything and start new (mostly to fix my OEMizer issue)? TIA, tsp Sprint Mogul |

After the uninstall, delete everything in C:\Program Files\PPCkitchen.org and C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\hIq In (or a similar address). |

For the bluetooth: I myself did EXTENSIVE testing with both IR and Bluetooth beam on this build. You must build with the BTFTP under Bluetooth section. I also had good results using the Cambridge BT Addon selection. Last edited by justpctech; 07-25-2008 at 02:28 PM. |

Re: Titan 20270 GPS kitchen
Is there any real way to get rid of the auto suggest when doing any messaging? I tried to do it under "input" and it still won't kill it off. I really hate the auto suggest.
I meant to post this here. |

Re: Titan 20270 GPS kitchen
Well, I'm having the following issues with this build so far:
1. Had the top bar go away at first. Whe it did, I couldn't exit programs or get to the start menu. A soft reset cleared it up, and I haven't had it happen again....yet. 2. HTC Home Customizer doesn't work. When I try to run it, I get the following error message: "An unexpected error has occurred in homecust.exe. Select Quit and then restart this program, or select Details for more information. File or assembly name 'OpenNETCF.Drawing, Version=2.2.0.0,Culture=neutral,PublicKeyToken=E60 DBEA84BB431B7, or one of its dependencies, was not found. So, now I'm in a quandry. Since I had my Apache, I've always been fond of several of the HTC utilities and associated goodies (ie: HTC Home and HTC Task Manager) I know that, as GGURU says....HTC Task Manager is an evil little app. I also know that HTC Home has a memory leak, and has cause issues too. BUT, they are VERY useful apps, they used to work VERY well on HTC devices, and best of all they are FREE. I'm finally at the point where I may be ready to leave the old apps behind, especially since they dont seen to like to play well with the new builds. My question is....what is a good, lightweight, and free task manager to replace HTC Task Manager? Also, what is a good replacement for HTC Home? I really like, and use all of the features of HTC Home, so I need something that has as many of those as possible. I've also considered trying Touchflo, as it seems pretty cool, but people have had mixed results with it. What is the closest thing to the Diamond out there? I've seen several diamond themes, but these are still in development it seems, and somewhat buggy. Well, sorry to get off on a tangent on something not really related to this build, but I'm probably not alone in that the newer builds are prompting (or even forcing) the use of different apps to keep a familiar feel, but still have the possibility of new features and a cooler interface. |
