track mogul via gps or lock lost phone (post lost)
so i remember a friend of mine showing me this neat trick with his phone, he can send it a text msg and lock it completely, also any phone numbers called outbound would be sent as a sms-email to him. i cant remember what phone this was on but would like to think it was a nokia Q-like phone. i would like to add similar functionality to my mogul and every phone afterwards. also i remember hearing about a program for symbian phones that would allow someone to send a text msg to a phone and the phone would reply back with its gps location on demand. does anyone have any clue about either of these setups?

I've been trying to get no2chem to write a little program that keeps the GPS locked on boot and while the device is sleeping... You have to have a valid GPS lock at the time for the software to work reliably.

While not implimented on our WinMo devices yet, Navizon has the 'send a secret sms to the phone, get it's gps co-ordinates smsed back' working on i-phone, crackberry, and others.
Why is that pertinent??? Cause it's coming soon to WinMo too! Check my sig, it's a free ap that you can earn some coin as well. Although they do have a pay version too.

You can check out SmartPhone Tracker also. It does a lot of the same stuff, and is available in PPCKitchen now too.

Try Wimp (Where is my phone)...it is a cool program that hides on your phone and sends gps coordinates when you send the phone a stealth text message. I tried it and it works flawless on the Mogul.
