Re: Bell Canada HTC 6800 HELP Radio ver 1.37!
Are you looking to stay stock, or go custom?
If you want to stay stock, HTC has an update (1.59a) that will fix a bunch of radio issues. http://www.htc.com/us/FAQ_Detail.aspx?p_id=69&act=sd if you want to go custom you will to follow a couple of steps. 1) Backup your EPST settings 2) Unlock your phone (use no2chem 2.47) 3) Use the kitchen to flash a new rom. |

Rocket976. I'm on Bell Mobility too. If you want the GPS and WM 6.1, you must flash up the phone. I just started my flashing a week ago and happy I did.

Did you have any problems with the dialer? Is there anything specific I have to do so that I dont brick the phone? Just a little skeptical to do it as I can't afford a new $500. phone. But yeah I want to go custom. All your help appreciated.

I had the same fear. It's not that bad. just make sure the SPL is good, and everything else is straight forward. What did you want to put on?

Re: Bell Canada HTC 6800 HELP Radio ver 1.37!
Then you're end goal is to run a newer Radio. This requires a new SPL and OS Rom. I recommend the nueSPL 2.47. I was recommended the Rom from someone on here. It let's you flash images from a memory card. Next, pick one of the 3.35+ radios. I'm running the latest 3.42.30. It's running pretty smoothly here. After that, you'll want a new OS to go with it. No2Chem's stuff is very good. I recommend using ppckitchen from ppckitchen.org. It'll make the custom Rom for you and also include the code specifically for Bell Mobility. You may not want to use PPCKitchen later on, but it's a good first start.
