Re: Offical Sprint 3.56 MOGUL 6.1 Rom is now posted at HTC.com

I've been running it the past day and have a few thoughts:

1. Requires the registry edits documented in the older ROM to enable the third option in phone settings for Roam Only. Otherwise the feature remains unchanged.
2. On the subject of roaming, the phone now correctly switches to and uses the other carrier's EvDo instead of requiring a soft reset for it to work properly. (this must be the new radio, change from sprint only/automatic/roam only is seamless finally)
3. Internet Sharing requires a simple registry edit (remove the force "phone as modem" string in the registry) for Internet sharing ICS through Sprint PCS over USB or Bluetooth PAM to work correctly. Otherwise, this option is invisible.
4. Still suffers from some keyboard lag including the occasional double-space or double key entry.
5. Still sometimes goes into the silent lockup death while charging. If a text or some reminder comes during the night while it is charging and I am sleeping, it will keep the screen on, silently lock up, and need to be restarted. This causes the texts to be lost.
6. Large start menu is just plain annoying
7. Seems much, much faster than any other ROM I've used so far. Just overall snappiness and interface speed.

I can't wait for a No2Chem

Hey not sure if you figured it out yet, but you can actually go into the settings and there is an option called "large start menu" and display that. I totally agree with the large start menu looking horrible. I changed it back to the normal one!

As dangerous as it sounds; having the large start menu is helpful when trying to launch applications while driving, but its ackward appearance will take some getting use to.
