Re: nueROM 2.2 Bleeding Edge General Discussion Thread

MORE BIG NEWS... on his site, no2chem says he's fixed dcinobar and updated it to properly work with the newer builds! This is something I've been waiting quite a while for!

here are the details and link from his site:

nueNoBar

August 31, 2008 23:47 by no2chem
Following a request from NexVision, I have coded up a replacement for dcinobar, which hides the bottom bar on the today screen, letting you use it for your today screen plugins. Unlike dcinobar, nueNoBar works with the latest wm builds. Download it from http://www.nuerom.com/BlogEngine/page/nueNoBar.aspx

THANKS NO2CHEM!!!

This is the single reason that I abandoned No2chems rom for WM5 Sampson for a while, and now have gone back to WM6.1 with JD's ROM (as it has no issues with Dcinobar). Lets see how things pan out with Nuerom 3.

no2chem:

with the cab file you provide on your site, will it allow the app to automatically startup each time the device is reset? just curious...

I installed the CAB and reset per instructions but the bottom bar remains. I'm running pre-8. Any ideas from anyone who has it working?

Re: nueROM 2.2 Bleeding Edge General Discussion Thread

someone on XDA said you have to manually close and reopen Nuenorom and it should work. look for the thread in teh xda dev and hacking section, they got it to work there.

Re: nueROM 2.2 Bleeding Edge General Discussion Thread

Is it only me, but it looks like donators will be the only one that will be able to access Nue's files pretty soon. Got this off of his site:

"If you’ve donated, the repository is now enabled, which should allow you to browse through all files available online. Nothing special is on there yet, just the standard files available on the regular site right now. Also, the token generator has also been enabled, though nothing uses the token just yet.

To access both, go to the donator CP at http://www.nuerom.com/nueDonate , and thanks for your donation, it is appreciated. =) Do drop me a line if you are having issues with the CP."

That was my assumption. He'll release all his alphas and betas and nightly builds in the repository, but only the final stuff will hit the actual blog.

Cool Re: nueROM 2.2 Bleeding Edge General Discussion Thread

It seems that windows mobile automatically starts closing programs. This problem has been annoying in a lot of the newer 6.1 roms. Been looking for a answer for a while. And found the below info over in xda. Works great in Pre 8. I can finally open navizon, internet explorer, iguidance and xmradio in the same time once again. Without worrying one of them would autoclose on me.

"HKCU\Software\HTC\TaskManager" key
then created a binary-dword for "Autokill" with Decimal value "0"
then created a binary-dword for "MemoryThreshold" with Decimal value of "943718"

I have rebooted my phone several times and have not had any close issues.
