Re: nueROM 2.2 Bleeding Edge General Discussion Thread
On pre-8 i haven't had to reboot for a week or 2... only reason i did was because i got frustrated with other things lol
anyways, the only issue i had was when i was running imap on pre-8, it wouldn't d/c from the inet. so then i would set it for once every 15 mins and it still wouldn't d/c from the net. i know there's a registry hack but i figured once the next or full version was out it'd be fixed or whatever. been a while :P

hmmm, off-topic, but it seems like sprint is just presenting another opportunity to get out of a contract.. mine was with an email account..
edit.. that "everything" plan is looking less and less like everything.

a) they are dumping sprintpcs email... so what? They are trying to cut costs, and I'm sure the possiblity of someone actually using / relying on a sprintpcs email, is extremely rare. And it's only their email providing service. b) Sprint is in some money trouble, but that in no way means they'll be "gone" anytime soon. If that were true, why are they parterned up with other providers to roll out their WiMAX service, as well as many new services / products, for example: http://www.engadget.com/2008/07/29/s...le-nationwide/ Lastly, even if Sprint was in SERIOUS money trouble, it would not affect our contracts / service because their assets would most likely be on-fire-sale and plenty of companies (most likely other carriers) would jump at the chance to grab a bunch of subscribers, services towers etc. on the cheap. This kind of thing happens all the time; When the new company buys them out, they simply take over and / or merge subscribers, employees, services etc with their main company. |
