Yeah, that's what I ended up doing was flashing to the offical rom to get the download link and then save the .cab to my storage card and then reflashed back to pre8 again :) But thanks for posting the .cab here as I'm sure others might need it.

Just rename the extension to .CABhttp://freetexthost.com/ynyyidycth

The forum wont let me upload a cab so i just renamed the extension to zip so I could upload it.

I was looking for this too since the one I had before made No2Chem's rom freeze. I downloaded and flashed the new official htc rom and ran GetSprintTV (included in the htc rom released tomorrow) which automatically downloaded the cab from http://sprint.vend.mobitv.com/downlo...tTV_6800MR.cab (I tried downloading it directly without running GetSprintTV.exe and I received an unathorized message). It gave me the choice of where to download it so I chose my mSD card. I installed it first to make sure it worked and it did. Then I reflashed the nueRom, installed it and it worked. I watched an episode to make sure it worked. I did this with nueROM 2.2-5770-pre8.

Edit: I just tried the direct link again just for kicks and what do you know, it works, no unauthorized message this time

Im not exactly sure which one did it, because I upgraded both the radio and the rom at the same time, but holy sh*t. GPS locks in about under 2 second, inside my house, with 11 satellites.

Preview 5 + 3.42.02 radio took about 30 seconds, and only got 6 satellites inside my house.

Friggin sweet!

hmm sounds perfect! i havent spent too much time actually using my phone this weekend so i havent even loaded up livesearch yet... but this peaked my interest. i gotta see this for myself!

I just flashed my radio to the one you linked (3.42.30). Previously, I was on 3.42.02. GPStoday would lock in 9 seconds inside my home. After flashing to .30, I locked in the exact same amount of time - 8 seconds. No improvement.

I'm running pre8. I always take these "WOW" statements with a grain of salt....

Please say "in about the same amount of time" instead of "exact same". 8 and 9 are not the same. I would upgrade if the change from .02 to .30 went from 9 seconds to 8.9 seconds. Simply means it's better.
Of course that being said, there are 100's of different things that can have an impact of these GPS locking timings including the weather!

YMMV,
tsp

I think I've read all the posts on this thread (at one time or another) and I just searched for "build" but can't find what this ROM is based on. Is it build 19588 or 20226 or something else? The PPC kitchen has both of these.

TIA,
tsp

i don't know if this is permanent or not but the htc sprint mogul update page doesn't have the latest rom to download anymore.

There's a cab to fix the keyboard issue posted three or four times in the 2.1 thread.

That thread is gone. The thread police removed it.
