The files you'll need are listed here:
http://code.google.com/p/vogue-andro...i/HowToInstall

Basically, make sure you have: the basefiles, system.img, haret launcher, default.txt, rootfs, and zImage. (Some of that list may be included in the basefiles download. I don't remember what all was included in there anymore - I haven't had a need to download them in a while.)

I'll post my default.txt later if you need it.

Hope that helps!

Yes please post your default.txt

Re: Linux/Android working on Titan

Here it is:

set MTYPE 1463
set KERNEL zImage
set initrd initrd.gz
set cmdline "ppp.nostart=0 msm_sdcc.msmsdcc_fmax=32000000 pm.sleep_mode=0 board-htctitan.panel_type=0 fbcon=rotate:3 mddi.width=300 mddi.height=400"
boot

I'm not sure who to give credit to for it since it's been so long...

# pm.sleep_mode - The mode used when the phone is off
# 0=Power Collapse Suspend, 1=Power Collapse, 2=Apps Sleep,
# 3=Slow Clock and Wait for Interrupt 4=Wait for Interrupt
# Default is 3, use 0 for best power savings

set cmdline "ppp.username=IT ppp.password=IT msm_sdcc.msmsdcc_fmax=32000000 pm.sleep_mode=0 board-htctitan.panel_type=0 fbcon=rotate:3 mddi.width=300 mddi.height=400"

Man, this is looking complicated! I can't wait till I can install this on mine with no extra code mumbo jumbo. I have got some reading to do I guess. Anybody got any screen shots of recent builds?

Thanks, it worked 1st shot (I gave you thanks). Interesting.... Picture on my titan is not very clear (is that how it is ?), it's soooo slow and everything keeps not responding. (it's on a Kingston 2gb card, fast card, the one I used before I put a 8gb in my titan)

but, it is very interesting to be able to run the OS just from the flash card with out having to make a custom rom but, I think the speed would be great if it could be done that way...

I will be monitoring this fourm from this point forward....Not bad so far...I'm impressed

Re: Linux/Android working on Titan

Remember, this is still not a full working, and possibly will never be a full working version on most HTC devices. If they do find a way to get it as a standalone OS, it's a ways away from now.
*The reason it's slow is because you still have WM in the background, still using up your memory. If you really want to use Android over WM, down a clean ROM with plenty of memory.
*Not all functions are working at this point. Of course, this is because of driver issues. Some parts of the software will not work until their is a workaround.

Just a slight reminder, but I hope that we get some progress on this, i used to have a mogul, and have a stable (as possible) 1.1 build available for download (check previous pages), but now that I have a Diamond i can't do any more dev. But, thanks to all for helping out on this project!

Re: Linux/Android working on Titan

Working Great for me with 1.5. Not very much lag at all. I'm using this as my daily OS. While there are a few bugs, the only one that concerns me is the leds not turning off, which is killing my battery. Does WM work on your Mogul? Droid does.
