I plan on recooking, but I want to get the problem pinned down first so that I don't just recreate it with the new build.
Sometimes I've had this problem when I try to select options for the Diamond Qwerty -- just select Diamond Keyboard (not Qwerty) and then click options. It shouldn't kick you out, and the changes will affect all Diamond keypads.

No, I'm not referring to the top part of the screen missing - though, I've seen that one too.

The problem I have is that pressing the "x" Close Box on any app only sends it to the background now (the WM6 default action), not closing it as the HTC Task Manager normally allows you to do.

Re: Titan 20226 kitchen

Question?
Is there a way to tell the Kitchen to store the RUU utility files to a different location other than My Documents?? (i have domain enforced folder redirection, so My documents is a share on the network. I keep getting an error because of it...)
btw, this started after this last update on the kitchen files...
NOTE: i checked the kitchen_config.txt file, but could not fine anything relating to this
hope anyone can help on this...???

I have cooked with both versions of HTC Task Manager from the kitchen.
The "x close by tapping" worked properly in both instantces.
In each case I get the top bar with the start menu completely dissappearing.
I wonder if this has something to do with the Manilla today theme?

I would love to fix the top bar dissappearing. The other thing is the battery draining quicker.

See attached log files in ZIP.

Other than that, this is the fastest ROM ever. Just open the "windows" folder. Nearly no lag. Thanks to all involved, much appreciated!!

Yep, I have the same thing where My Documents is redirected to my file server. BuildOS always errors out on the RUU Utility. I then just manually copy the folder to a local drive and run the RUU from there and it works fine. But it would be nice if it was copied to a local drive (like in the PPCKitchen.org folder in Program Files).

This did it! I tried the REGEDITs that were listed, no luck. But this fixed it. Thanks! Now my phone isn't suicidal anymore.

Re: Titan 20226 kitchen

I have a problem I haven't seen addressed here. I don't know what happened but a second flash fixed the first problem. When I first flashed with the new build 20226 my touchscreen didn't work. I flashed again with same settings and it did.

Also, I was using build 19588 and HTC smartdialing and Bliss phonepad. I like that so I used the same in 20226. However now I have that small box with the last 3 numbers listed in it. If my call history is blank it defaults to VM and the sprint #s. How do I get rid of this? It wasn't there with same settings in last build.

I also can't get into default contacts like I could before to change the area code... is there a registry edit for this? (I use photo contacts pro)

Re: Titan 20226 kitchen

The 20226 base handles the phone dialers differently than previous bases did we are finding out, so that little box is probably a case of that. As far as I know there is no way to get rid of it. You can change the Area Code in the following path:

Code:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\AddrBook]
"Default_Area"="619"

Hmm, I had to create that value, maybe that is why my default contacts don't work. But even after creating that default contacts still don't come up.
