Re: Sudden battery issues

I am using the OEM charger. I charged the phone in the car on the way to work and got it up to 81%. I now have it plugged into my computer and will charge further.

The part that confuses me is that it DID charge somewhat. When I went to bed last night it was at a lower charge than it was when I woke up, not to mention if it hadn't charged at all, it would be completely dead by morning at the battery life it's been getting. Combine that with the fact that it reported 100% on the display until unplugged (actually, I can't confirm that was the case today), and it doesn't sound like the charger's simply not connecting.

Grrr...

Anyway, I'll have to keep troubleshooting. I'm still not convinced there wasn't something wrong with the other battery (especially since this one worked for a week without symptoms), but there may be more issues. Could be the charger, could be that the contacts in the phone, itself, are loose somehow.

The other step (not one I look forward to) is flashing the stock ROM to see if there's any possible correlation.

Re: Sudden battery issues

if your careful, you could try bending the contacts out slightly, also give cleaning them a try it might be only making a partial contact with the battery.

Thing is, I don't see the charger light change when I shift the cord. Are these things capable of giving a lesser charger somehow if the physical connection's weak? I thought it was an all-or-nothing deal.

Re: Sudden battery issues

its definitely not all or nothing, my Motorola car charger works, but I have to have it in a very specific position otherwise I get the light but no juice. also besides the battery terminal, try swabbing the mini usb port with some alcohol as well.
