I'm going to take a wild guess that Helmi did NOT start by simply using a kitchen a large team of people created, based off of a custom ROM created over the course of many months by another highly-talented user, with nothing but off-the-shelf OEMs included in that kitchen. I don't know his history for sure, but I think based on what he was known for creating, he did a hell of a lot more than that. In fact, I'm pretty sure his work predates the kitchens. Again, though, I can't be sure.

I've built quite a few ROMs of my own with the kitchen. It's absurdly easy when you get the hang of it. That's why I'm still failing to see the point of this one, when I can spend ten minutes making something that includes the half of this ROM that I DO want, along with a bunch of other stuff left off that I would also want.

Did you follow the bright red directions on the front page of this and no2chem's ROM telling you to remove the battery after the first boot, then hard-reset the phone, then boot it again? That's kind of important, and why it's in bright red.

Hi I'm the "hater" here. I have built 50+ custom ROMs using both PPCKitchen and DogGuy's Kitchen. I have successfully ported OS's to other ROM's. I have made my own OEM's and CAB's. I was immediately aware that this ROM was built with PPCKitchen without even flashing it to my device. I admit that I'm no expert, but I do have a good idea of what I'm talking about.

The point is, that there is nothing "ultimate" about this ROM. It's just another custom ROM built with PPCKitchen. There are hundreds of folks that have build custom ROM's with the kitchen, and I certainly don't feel the need for a thread on each one, unless there is something very special about it. The fact is that this ROM has old versions of programs (including nuetools), and I hate Opera 9.5 as default. I personally prefer PIE Plus, or Opera Mini.

So, you made a custom ROM with the Kitchen, good for you. I'm happy that it works for you, but it is not the "Ultimate" ROM by any means.

THE ROM IS ULTIMATE TO ME because its everything i want except a few things, i've tried several times to cook rooms for my 6800 but it just get stuck in the bootloader so for some1 to make something with the mind set of just a regular guy then i am all for it...

i really dont sit here and want to change my phone into a laser beam that shoots down satellites all i want is a rom that has things i need because half of the complains about the sprint roms i rarely notice them if ever, i seriously ran the stock rom for months and installed some small stuff on there.

let me ask you this, what can you mogul do that i cannot do with mines? and if u tell me you have a laser beam on there that can shoot satelllites down i will donate to your rom development. if i can get a grip on how to do this cooking thing i will tell you what i will have on there:
office mobile
remote desktop
htc home
currency converter
1lite calc
diamond qwerty
tv guide
new live search
and the diamond theme on everything like wmp
and a few games
extra sounds
extra themes

how many people tried to stop the memory leak and i still flash roms and end up with the same problem, in all honesty i get better memory management with the stock roms.

The ROM that I am currently using was cooked using PPCKitchen (Thanks! PPCKitchen Folks), based on 19588. It's not that special (certainly not Ultimate), but it does have TomTom 7 built in (along with a working AstroGPS). It also has the nuest nuetools (including the latest nueUSB, and NuePackageInstaller among others -- Thanks no2chem!!) It's got some other OEM's that aren't in the Kitchen too. I haven't uploaded it, but if you want it you can have it.

would take ur offer but i use garmin xt which is installed on my sd card and i dont use any nue tools, if u can make something like what i posted or help me figure out why my phone just sits there in the 2nd bootloader screen i will def hook up up a thank you click and retract my comments posted above LOL

i honestly try to keep my phone as simple as posible because i dont use many programs, on my htc 8125 its a different story because i use that for my asia travels and i need a lot of special programs on there but for my 6800 i like to keep it simple.

Which base are you building from? If it is a no2chem base, you gotta take the battery out for one minute and then put it back in. I assume that you are talking about the splash screen, and not the bootloader screen. If it really is the bootloader, which version are you using? olipro 2.4??

Btw, I use Garmin too, but TT7 is more responsive. Garmin has better maps, and is prettier..
