PC doesn't recognize device

Well, I bought the 6800 and the phone was transferred from another store that forgot to put the software and instructions back into the box. I plugged the phone into my PC via USB cable and the computer isn't recognizing it. So I can't send any of my files to my phone. Is there anywhere I can download the software so my PC will recognize the phone?

Re: PC doesn't recognize device

vista? you need mobile device center...
xp you need activesync 4.5...

however...as soon as you plug your phone in via usb...it should automatically be dected as windows mobile device without any syncing software installed.

Re: PC doesn't recognize device

Go to Start -> Settings -> Connections -> USB to PC

Try unchecking the box the box for "Enable advanced network functionality", hit ok, and then try connecting with USB. Connecting with that feature turned off usually works best for me.
