Re: Downloading MMS with WIfi

I don't think it's possible. Unfortunately neither is Direct Push over wifi. Neither was really designed for it.

Re: Downloading MMS with WIfi

If, like Sprint, Cricket allows you to access your picture mail through a web page, you should be able to use that as a workaround. Otherwise, though, no, MMS is transmitted through a protocol that has nothing to do with the internet and everything to do with your provider's network.

Re: Downloading MMS with WIfi

Not sure I know exactly what you mean. As long as you're connected to a wifi network, you should be able to use mobile ie to download things without it connecting to the cellular data network.

Your programs (for the most part) will automatically default to the wifi connection if it's active.

Re: Downloading MMS with WIfi

I don't think so. The Arcsoft MMS program by design initiates a cellular data connection in order to download messages. It's just the design of the software.

Now, there may be a way you could get your messages through an email service. If you have people set you up in thier contacts with your email address for sending MMS to you, you could set your phones Outlook to check your mail service for you through the wifi. It would download the pictures as attachments.

Just remeber that if you set it to check every 15 minutes, make sure you switch it back to manual if you're leaving the wifi connection so that it doesn't initiate a cellular data connection.

Re: Downloading MMS with WIfi

Ok this is a long shot but have u tried smms, i believe that it is a work around like the one mentioned above... because if i'm not mistaken before u can send and recieve you have to log on to the web... ergo the #777 i would say find a good wireless network and let me konw if that would do it or not.... Wait never mind you would need a sprint pic mail account, can one of the other users who has this program attempt to access with phone off?
