Which radio works best on VZW XV6800?

Ok, I'm currently running the following versions on a Verizon XV6800.....

ROM Version: 3.49.NO2.5066 from no2chem (WM6.1 Build 19231.1.0.4) (great rom by the way, but when I downloded it was listed as 5067???)

Radio Version: 3.35.04

I've noticed there are higher versions of the radio scattered about, and I've been wondering... which radio version works best for the Verizon network? I would try them one by one, but calling and being on the phone for an hour for a new A-key to get my phone back to making and recieving calls kinda sucks!

So I'm looking for words of experience on this. Which has worked best for you Verizon users out there? GPS locks quickest, and best signal and evdo speeds. (I know sometimes you can't have it all.) And any links to radio updates would be great too!

One other thing I'm wondering is about updating the radio. I know when I went up to 3.35, my phone wouldn't boot past the HTC logo until I flashed the stock VZW rom to the No2Chem 5067 rom. So any breif ideas as to what I might run into while updating to any suggested radios would be appreciated.

Re: Which radio works best on VZW XV6800?

you will only need an akey when updating from a nonGPS radio to a GPS enabled radio, or the other way around. a keys are only single use, dont bother writing it down. upgrade to the newest radio. its 3.42.30 ported from the vogue today. thank GC for it here. you can flash through an SD card, and the radio upgrade does not require a hard reset, that is, if you already have a GPS enabled ROM. **I'm not sure about 3.27, but 3.35+ should update no problem.

i upgraded to the previous 3.42 radio yesterday, and a noticeable difference in signal strength for sure,

Re: Which radio works best on VZW XV6800?

For my experience with Titan Radio(s), I like radio 3.39 because internet connection speed is much faster than 3.35 and 3.42.30, I've tested with all these 3 radio in almost every rom I use and evdo speed is much faster with 3.39 radio.

My A-key isn't visible in EPST. And when I called they reset it on thier end. Hopefully I won't have to mess with it again, but you never know!

I've read that I shouldn't use Vouge radios and roms on my Titan. I had the Apache before all this and I know I was never to put a radio from another device on it. This Titan stuff is slightly more confusing... So no worry of anything going wrong by doing this?

How is the EVDO speed and GPS lock? With Verizon I've noticed horrible signal strength AND EVDO speeds on the 3.35 radio.

You cannot reuse an A key anyway. They generate a new one each time. As another poster sadi you will probably not need another A key if you flash to the same type radio.

Thank god for that! An hour on the phone with Verizon is like having teeth pulled with no anesthesia.

running this newest Vogue -> Titan ported readio 3.42.30, and have zero problems.. not noticing a whole heck of lot of improvement on GPS or signal strength.. only have had it on for about 12 hours now.
but everything is running just perfect, with no hiccups..
