so, how much of an improvement is this over the 3.35 radio?

well so far for its either the same or just a bit better than 3.39, then again... i've had it only for 3 hours. i will post update soon.

DCD is coming out with a new ROM, 3.20, based on the "official" new Sprint ROM which is supposedly coming out soon (3.59 something I believe)

I would try both 3.39 and 3.42 so you can compare both. Remember that flashing radio will through SD card will not Hard Reset so you should be good to go.

so, should I try .39 first then try .42? can I go back to .39 if .42 isnt much different?

I just ordered an 8GB card from amazon that was posted in that thread looking for the cheapest 8GB card. once I get it, i'll give it a whirl.

keep in mind flashing with sd card you must use a non SDHC card with a size of 1gb (512mb recommended) or less. and yes you can go back to 3.35, 3.37 or 3.39 from 3.42.

also, instead of opening DOS you can simply right click your drive with the storage card and simply select format.
