Getting the GPS access on an XV6800 that is locked...

Anyone have a means of accessing the GPS in a locked XV6800 ?
I don't want to flash the phone just yet, only need access to the GPS for the time being....

Sorry, but I already found that...was hoping there was another thread on the same topic...
I installed the .CAB file but can't get it to work, and then figured out that my rom is version 2.xx.xx.xx so the patch didn't work...
My question then is: Is there a stock verizon 3.x.x.x rom that I can download and update the one in my phone with...
I'm still searching and reading the threads....

Again, SEARCH! Google and the search feature are your buddies. Why do you ditch them?

LOL..........ok...........you will need to unlock, update the radio version (Sprint radio), update the ROM and then get GPS. It has to go in this order and all these must take place. You cannot skip anything. So if you are ready to flash everything then you are not ready for GPS. Sry.

I have a Verizon Phone, do I still update the radio on it or is that only for "Sprint" phones...?

Ok, now where do I put the radio file when I download it to my PC in order for the flashing to work..?

Dude, maybe you should just leave it stock and call it a day... Everyone of your questions can be found using the search. If you can't take a few mins to search then you shouldn't be modding your phone. You will end up than nothing more than a paper weight stuck in download mode...

I agree that you need to step away from the device and do some reading. In fact start here. VZW locks out the GPS on thier devices which is why (for VZW users) you need a Sprint radio. But there are things you MUST be aware of or you will mess up your device. Things like PRI and Customizations. There is a specific procedure and order you need to follow. If you try to deviate you will be in more trouble. So go read and save yourself (and us) a future headache.

I have access to the gps via stock radio rom and locked bootloader did you try using the gpsserver over on xda developers
