I am not sure if the re-locker is working or not....(but I dont think it is)....but I belive he wont have any issues as long as he reverts back to stock....2.4 bootloader is on 3.35...so they shouldnt notice anything abnormal..I walked my friend through it the other day and he turned it in no questions asked.....

Re: Need Help Reverting Back to Stock ROM.

Ok, I don't think I'm asking the right question then. I get what you're saying. I want to revert back to the Sprint ROM from DCD's 3.0.4 ROM. No problem there. As said I just need to download and run the ROM. But I also want to go back to an official bootloader, whatever the current version is. How do I do that?

I wouldn't worry about going back to the official bootloader, check this thread I started and look at post #6 by holo . http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=28409

What radio are you running right now? And why do you want to go back to the stock BL? The reason I ask is because if you already have upgraded to the GPS radios then you cannot revert back without bricking the phone....which by the way is not a problem if you are looking to replace it....the 2.4 bootloader is on 3.35 they would have to be looking very hard to catch it.....most of them techs do not even know what the hell they are doing....there are also other ways to make sure you do not void the warranty....if you are still worried....PM if need be and I can fill you in....

Although 2.4 may be the version of the current bootloader, the current bootloader is NOT labeled as "Olipro." Any intelligent technician who was suspicious could check for a half-second and see it's been flashed.

That seems entirely speculation to me, and not anything anybody in this thread could have said. Yes, most technicians probably won't bother to check. But for me, personally, "probably" isn't good enough.

I agree but they do not have too many intelligent techs.....but it will be nice to see some sort of work around for this.....I myself have a few different ways that I can make sure they do not have any traces of flashing, if I need a replacement or service.....dont wanna post it on here....... but if you look you will find what I am talking about....many others have posted some ideas.....I have my own ways that work.....lol

Re: Need Help Reverting Back to Stock ROM.

Well, I'm running the 3.35 radio and it's pretty much incase I have to turn it it for some reason. I would imagine that a tech would just follow the directions or know the routine enough to continue, but like TurboFool I'd rather not leave it to chance. And I don't mean revert back to an older bootloader or radio, just back to an official one.

Well, "probably" is all you have at this point, like it or not. Unless you like Bricks with keyboards.

P.S. Your first sentence confused me abit. Holo "did" say it (though it was just his opinion). That tells me you didn't go the link. Funny, you posted in that thread too, lol!
