How do I remove programs that were autoinstalled by kitchen?

Used the kitchen for my current build and S2U2 is now out of date by several versions. I have to remove the current version before i upgrade but the current version is like slipstreamed in via the kitchen. How do I upgrade?

Don't tell me i have to redo the whole device to upgrade one piece of software...

Re: How do I remove programs that were autoinstalled by kitchen?

Are you serious? That's so stupid. I either have to flash every few weeks now or install everything manually. Is there a way to script out CAB installs like the auto update sprint does on a hard reset? That would solve the problem...

yes look up auto install or user customization aka UC autoinstall is easier to use. you can also make your own stuff like OEMs and cook your own way.

Uh yeah... you are reflashing your ROM.
If you don't like it, simply don't chose it in the first place and install the program manually. That way you can uninstall it anytime you want.

(advice: I'd be careful what you call stupid... esp with all the work that is put into the Kitchen).

Re: How do I remove programs that were autoinstalled by kitchen?

This is the way kitchens work. It builds the applications in as thought they came standard. If you're going to want to upgrade a specific application, then that's the sort of application you should avoid building in and instead install it manually. This is normal.

Re: How do I remove programs that were autoinstalled by kitchen?

try installing S2U2 1.05 (latest version) directly on your device, and it should prompt to uninstall the previous version. i never cook OEM's or programs into a ROM that receive such frequent updates. here's the latest version.

Re: How do I remove programs that were autoinstalled by kitchen?

i agree with the above poster, something that updates almost weekly isnt something you should cook through a kitchen unless you like to flash alot (like me!!!) but would work using UC or doing it yourself
