Re: New Sprint ROM with WM6.1 overlay?
I've read a lot of them. I used to use No2Chem's kitchen. That wasn't my question and maybe I haven't explained it right.
I'm basically looking at keeping the current Sprint rom (not a cleaned up custom) with WM6.1 on it. |

Re: New Sprint ROM with WM6.1 overlay?
Your only option for that is to wait for the official 6.1 ROM coming soon. There's no way to overlay 6.1 functionality on top of 6.0, as the new functions are core parts of the OS, itself.

See post #87 That is what I was wondering about. Thanks for your help. I"m gonna take a look at No2Chem's latest or the leaked Sprint rom once I get my new Mogul. |

Re: New Sprint ROM with WM6.1 overlay?
You're misunderstanding what was said in that thread. That person was essentially asking for a clean ROM running Windows Mobile 6.1, but otherwise pretty much the same as the stock ROM. His wording made it sound like it was installed on top of it, but knowing the basics I can deduce that what the person provided him was essentially a clean 6.1 ROM.
no2chem's ROMs are the closest to stock, while adding some very useful functionality that doesn't take up a lot of space. The remaining Sprint functions are all available for separate download if you look in the right places. I'd send you to those places, but I honestly avoid everything Sprint included with the phone like the plague. There are better alternatives to most of it, and the rest I don't personally use. But it's all available. Really, I'd recommend working with the official kitchen. Base it off of a no2chem build, then carefully look through all the optional components and add what you want/need. You'll end up with something uniquely you and very functional. |
