No Release Today people!!!!

the thing is this.. do you honestly think that sprint will release a new rom for the mogul? they have done 2 updates to the phone.. thats about all they did with the apache as well.. and then they moved on to other phones.. I have a feeling this will be the same.. sprint will try to get people on the touch diamond and touch pro.. and leave those that have the older phones in the dust... its always been that way with sprint.. they dont care about exisisting customers.. they care about new customers.. and getting the new customers. if thye do it.. its a token gesture.. and there is no money in it for them to release an update.. the phone works as designed.. the gps has been updated and set up.. and its functioning.. what reason do they have to update? they already have you hooked.. and suckerd in to a 2 year contract... (or not with some of you) why spend time updating a phone that is being replaced very very shortly?? this is the reason that people lkke No2chem and the rest of the rom cookers out there are so loved because they make the new roms for us... and do a much better job in my opinion than some of the default stuff I have seen.....

but with all that being said... I do hope one does get released so we have something before the touch pro... and something new for no2chem and the gang to play with..

The fact that there was a "test" rom released with an updated radio (3.49?) means that we're pretty much going to see it officially released. I'm not worried about that. But I would really like to know when, my phone's so slow lately, he's basically begging me to flash to a new rom version!

YOu honestly don't make any sense. True it may not make them more money or it may, but he the fact that the leaked beta rom is out proves it. Plus by going to the Microsoft website, it pretty much states that most of there 6.0 phones will go to 6.1. The question and the problem is when is it going to be released, it is no longer a question of if.

I remember reading that the wireless carriers are realizing the benefits of rom updates for a simple reason. It saves them money... Thats right people only buy a new phone every year or two (usually) when then ge the discount. The reason people upgrade or get a new phone are due to bug issues if you will that affect their current phone. By fixing those issue the wireless carriers might have their customers hang onto their phones longer, thus the wireless carriers dont have to subsidize the cost of another new phone. (if their battery is bad the customer can just buy a new battery off ebay for $20.) Also a benefit to the carrier is that if the phones are lasting longer they can say you only can get a new subsidize phone every other contract on a 2 year contract so once every 4 years.

I hate to say it, but we're done with ROM updates for this phone. Over. With the Touch Pro and Diamond looming, Sprint is taking the "screw old devices, full steam ahead" approach. I'm going to call and upgrade...it's a must (if I want new ROMs!)

That wouldn't be the end of the world. Updates from Sprint are actually obsolete, thanks to no2chem and company, so no big loss if you're right.

It is a bit funny how CONFIDENTLY people speak about something that in reality no one really has a positive clue on.

It does seem evident that with the leaked ROM that Sprint probably has one last ROM update coming... but who knows. They could be focusing on the new devices as people say. But again, who really knows.

ok so the new rom is coming out on july 2010 and they are unlocking the time travel capability and the cheap gas beam( i guess all you have to do is turn on the beam and type in how much money you have in your pocket and it will reconfigure the pumps price to give you a full tank)

thats from sprints headquarters and htc, just got off the phone with them like 3 minutes ago
