How to get Official ROM to a basekit for the kitchen

I am with Alltel and have noticed that the majority of users are with Sprint o VW. I have tried several ROM's that I have cooked based on no2chem starting with 5054 up to 5067 and for some reason they do not want to play well with Alltel. I get frequent dropped calls and random freezing everytime I try to create a custom ROM. I have went through all the steps with OEM's to make sure there are no conflicts. I have noticed much better performance with the official Alltel ROM's. At least I get less dropped calls and less freezing.
My question is this, how can I use the latest Alltel ROM and add my OEM's and Boot splash screens? I can not get any kitchen that I have found to play nice with the alltel ROM's. Is there a way to get a basekit for the PPC kitchen?
I do not know how to create my own .cab files or I would just do it that way.
Can anyone help me out here? I would like to build a custom ROM using the new Alltel ROM and a few of no2chems tools and GPS. I alreaady know how to enable GPS on the Alltel Rom.

If anyone has any problems with there Alltel MMS I will be glad to help you as I have mastered that part over the last 2 months.

I would like to help anyone in any way that I can just like I know that someone out there will help me with this problem.

Please show some love for your Alltel Brothers!

Re: How to get Official ROM to a basekit for the kitchen

Way in the beginning we did not have a kitchen to build off of, we broke the roms down ourselfs and started moving things and manipulating things. I have a few posts along with dogguy about extracting a rom by hand and rebuilding it. Some things may have changed but the basic concept is still the same.

Somewhat of a tut http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=11174
My beginings http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=10401

And search for posts by dogguy, i think he also started out on the mogul and has an script to do everything, but always nice to know the whole process by hand

Also THANKS to everyone that made the kitchens available and to nue for all of his contributions, dogguy for the scripts in the beginning, and all of those over at xda for cracking the many puzzles of the mogul!

Thank you for answering. I have been searching for about 2 months. I tried Dog's kitchen but I could not get it to rebuild the Rom. I will keep trying. Is there a way to get my OEM's on the phone without burning them into the ROM?
Thanks again.

I can tell you that you need to go into the reg and edit arcsoft and replace everything that says alltel.com to alltel.net and that should take care of it for you. Don't forget the servlets/alltel.com change it to servlets/alltel.net. That has worked for me with every ROM I have used. Even Alltel Official Rom has that mistake in it. Also configure alltel service with your number areacodeandnumber@alltel.net Password alltel.

Re: How to get Official ROM to a basekit for the kitchen

well im back on the alltel updated rom...probably just for the weekend so i got something stable haha. but a basekit for the alltel rom would be really nice i think, cuz then we could just run a cleaner alltel rom- right?? and especially after i found wm 6.1 PIE for wm6, and the threaded text messaging from 6.1 wasnt anything too impressive so im pretty content w/ running 6.

but a cleaned and customized alltel rom...is that possible ?
