Re: Active Sync Usb Not Reconized

active sync says that? or is that popping up in a little balloon down by your clock? have you tried different cables, or different ports or even a different computer? you may also need to uninstall active sync then reinstall it, unless your on Vista... either way you also may want to try uninstall and reinstalling the USB drivers.

some other good info in this thread
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=22405

don't know if thats gonna help, you didn't exactly give us a whole lot of info to work with...

So far, I see where you have asked for help with Activesync in four different threads. It would help if you stayed in one thread so those trying to help you can see the history of what you have done. Also, the more details about your problem that you disclose, the more likely that someone will be able to help you. For example: the version of Windows running on your PC; what exact error message you get and when you get it; did Activesync work before you flashed this ROM; did Activesync work before you did the hard reset; etc.

Re: Active Sync Usb Not Reconized

I too have searched the threads and done all the obvious. BUT...

Active Sync does not see the device (after loading the drivers) and there is "This device cannot start. (Code 10)" in the device manager for HTC USB sync.

Yes I have removed and reinstalled and this occurs on more than one computer (XP) it syncs fine on my Vista machine.

The only reason I care is apparently you can't use Vista to update the ROM.
