Best Today setup

There are so many these days

For practical purposes, I found that the most effective setup was:
- Nuerom 506* (some compat issues but not bad)
- Quickmenu - programs as first item - i.e. launcher with fast small, cached icons
- Nuelinks - helps when I am updating my rom - keeps link "launcher" up to date
- basic status on today screen (mail, weather (numbers no pictures)
- big cache
- No skins, black everything. default comm screen etc.
- some hardware button bindings
- cleanups with sktools and pocket mechanic
- keyboard varies. I like taptext, but zoomboard 2.02 is nice and a little smaller/faster. When I am using my stylus I like the built in one because it is the fastest.
I use the hard keyboard when I am willing to go two handed.
Everything other than maps installed on system memory

Fast and effective, Not pretty, but it does everthing that I want and it does it quickly. No response lag, no crashes.
Everything beyond the most used basics (phone, email, camera, maps, notes) are apps launched via with with windows hardkey and quickmenu combined with nuelinks to organize the menus
I like fast
I with that there were more ways to disable graphics and skins. The display is slow and I like white on black.
