Sprint ROM release date speculation

Anyone have guesses, insider info, or other leads on when the new ROM will be released? I have read June 1st on here before, but that's a Saturday, isn't it?

wholly crap you just opened a new mile long thread. i rememberwhen the titan was just getting gps and the rom speculation thread grew like an infectious disease.

I have two Moguls with two lines and both are really not performing well. One gets calls, vms, and texts WAY late. And the other will turn off or drop calls after 40 seconds and not receive calls for 3 hours. Hoping maybe a radio issue? I had run a couple custom ROMs, but I don't mind playing all stock. So hoping for some fixes come the new ROM. Especially after 4 exchanged Moguls and the same problems.

the offical date is going to be Tuesday June 3, 2008. for windows mobile 6.1 from what i understand their is no real big changes at all. It includes Sprint Tv (good) but no threaded MMS or Pic Mail..., No new user interface like they have in the UK that MS let them change with a wheel thing on the home screen. Ie has a zoom feature, but so what, Opera 9.x beta is way better.

Uhhh... where did you hear that there would be no threaded SMS? It makes no sense to remove the feature from the OS... And unless I'm crazy, the 3.49 test ROM has it.

it just does not have a "real" threaded mms in it. it is a hacked version that ms uses. I also saw some screen shots from the boy genius report on 6.1 and i have the beta 6.1 and mine dont look anything like it. it looks just like 6.0, i think maybe 6.1 for smartphones have a different look then the pro 6.1 for the moguls. i would also like to swap some starage on the fly to my ram, they use they same ram so why not? lets work on this

Yes the new look is for the smartphone version of 6.1. Pro 6.1 looks about the same as always.....

and it does have a real threaded mms. b00n. threaded in 6.1 pocket outlook is default.

Wow, you really like talking out your ***, don't you?

Let's see here. First off, there's no such thing as threaded MMS. There's threaded SMS, which is what 6.1 has built-in standard, and is not "hacked." It's the real-deal. Then there's the new MMS (how would you go about threading pictures and videos?) which is what they're working on with Sprint to figure out.

Already clearly known is that 6.1 for smartphones looks completely different from 6.1 Professional. Welcome to January.

And storage and RAM are NOT the same thing, no matter how much you would like to think they are. The phone's storage is ROM, not RAM, and they cannot be swapped or adjusted. The ROM is WAY too slow to be used as RAM, and they're not interchangeable technologies. This isn't like the early days of WinCE/Pocket PC 2002/2003 where there was no ROM and RAM was used as both storage and system memory so you could allocate what you wanted to either. These days they're separated so there's no risk of losing all your data when the battery dies.

Seriously, if you're going to act like you know what you're talking about, actually know what you're talking about first.
