Easy tiger. I was just curious. I feel like an investigator trying to get someone to rat someone out. Just trying to decide whether to get hyped for the update or not.

Why, be excited about a stock ROM anyway? There's really nothing new that we haven't seen already.

We already got GPS and Rev A., 6.1 etc.. What's all the hype about?

Somebody, needs to find out when the Diamond and/or Raphael are coming out. That'll excite me.

Some people like ROMs that... I don't know... actually work 100%. Don't get me wrong, custom ROMs are great, but each one has its little bugs and snags. It's nice to use a ROM that "just works."

Diamond is already out just the GSM version so far available, haven't seen a CDMA version. Raphael is slated for release after the Treo 800/850 in Mid to Late July this year.

What the hype is about is that we've got hacked versions of the 6.1 _beta_ ROM(s).
With betas, we can be stuck with bugs and major incompatibilities. While bugs and issues always exist in the stock ROMs, using stock instead of beta as a starting point for cooking customs ROMs tends to have a more positive outcome. For example, battery life with the 6.1 beta builds seems to have degraded. Hopefully, it will be better when using stock as a base.

because stock ROM updates often come with driver updates and other goodies that arent available in hacked/leaked ROMs. then our buddies here and at XDA can take those drivers and implement them into more advance ROMs.

I just called HTC and they had no comment as to the date or the fact that 6.1 will even be available for the Mogul. I know they know, I just hate being played for a fool...that"s all.
