Re: Sprint ROM release date speculation

So June 2nd?
Why would they update the radio version as well as the rom build?
I though the last official release unlocked all the potential of the msm7500 chipset (minus hardware video acceleration of course) but gps and rev a are enabled. No one has reported any differences between the old stock radio and the test radio.

Thoughts?

Wow, you really like talking out your ***, don't you?

Let's see here. First off, there's no such thing as threaded MMS. There's threaded SMS, which is what 6.1 has built-in standard, and is not "hacked." It's the real-deal. Then there's the new MMS (how would you go about threading pictures and videos?) which is what they're working on with Sprint to figure out.

Already clearly known is that 6.1 for smartphones looks completely different from 6.1 Professional. Welcome to January.

And storage and RAM are NOT the same thing, no matter how much you would like to think they are. The phone's storage is ROM, not RAM, and they cannot be swapped or adjusted. The ROM is WAY too slow to be used as RAM, and they're not interchangeable technologies. This isn't like the early days of WinCE/Pocket PC 2002/2003 where there was no ROM and RAM was used as both storage and system memory so you could allocate what you wanted to either. These days they're separated so there's no risk of losing all your data when the battery dies.

Seriously, if you're going to act like you know what you're talking about, actually know what you're talking about first.

Late June? Sometimes I wish people would release their "source" of dates.

I will not name or release my source however Look at the last Rom thread... I stated the exact date and even had the rom prior to it being posted on HTCs website.

If you dont believe my info then so be it.. No loses for me.

Re: Sprint ROM release date speculation

the update should be soon because the so call "leaked" rom has been put out. im assuming they want us to test it as beta for them, but i dont see how anybody can have an exact date unless they work for HTC. i work for sprint and i dont even know when the update is coming out. im confused as to why there are so many dates floating around with no positive expalantion. we have june 3rd, late june, i believe no one really knows.

Re: Sprint ROM release date speculation

Soon, they have reupdated the link on the powerdeck page for updates to take you to the htc site. A couple of days ago it was still taking me to the "No updates are available for this device" page, now it is back to the hts download site. I would think this is in preparation for a (Monday? or Tuesday?) release.
