Issues after ROM update
Sprint PPC-6800
Radio Version 3.35.04 In an attempt to update my ROM to a later version I had some issues. First I put the Titan Unlocker on my phone which went on with no issues. Then I updated to Nex_3.35_no2_SPCS_SPB_FIXED2.exe, which went on with no issues. But unless my phone was connected to power after about 1 minute it just rebooted, any ideas? I did some reading and thought I needed to update my radio version then did something I should probably not have done. I tried to put the update to the Sprint ROM 3.35.651.2 found at http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=20705. About 11% into the install of that ROM it stopped and looks like it turned my phone into a brick. After trying the install a few times and it stopping at the same spot I tried to put the Nex_3.35_no2_SPCS_SPB_FIXED2.exe version back on, which did work but it now says “No Radio” Does anyone have any ideas? |

Re: Issues after ROM update
Okay there is your problem: You are using Olipro 1.20 Bootloader. The newer ROMs need Olipro 2.40.
Here is the link to the 2.40 forum. flash that first and then flash any ROM you want. It should work. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=9093 |

Re: Issues after ROM update
It wants the device connected via activesync before it will see the device to update it. When I am stuck at the boot loader with no ROM on the system to boot to do, is it sill possible?

Re: Issues after ROM update
Don't worry about it. It says that, but you can flash from bootloader.
If the RUU still gives you trouble, just flash a older ROM like Sprint 2.17. Or else, you lock the Bootloader back and then flash Sprint 3.35 stock ROM, which should update the bootloader and get you into a working phone. Then you can connect to ActiveSync and do the unlock using Olipro 2.40. Let me know if any of that makes sense or not. Last edited by rvashi; 05-20-2008 at 03:48 PM. Reason: Added Extra Info |

Re: Issues after ROM update
Run your carrier's stock non gps rom to get out of bootloader and boot into windows mobile so you can active sync. Then use the titan relocker and run titan exit bootloader (search). You should be able to run 2.40 olipro ( gps unlocker) to load a gps rom then.
