Tried no2chem's 5050 and 5056 builds... switched back to stock

I really liked a lot of stuff in them, but I kept searching the forum for fixes but couldn't figure out the following problems:

1. With Jbed Java nothing showed up, so I couldn't run Opera Mini.
2. Couldn't get the battery bar on
3. The little drop down that's in the top right that shows open programs wasn't there.

Are there fixes for these issues? I really liked the threaded sms especially and the increased speed

honest opinion, you didn't try hard enough.

1. not sure about this, but i think the esmertec one is better... or are these the same? refer to this thread i guess
2. i think that's the registry edit:

hklm\software\microsoft\shell\ShowTitleBarClock
0=battery
1=clock
2=neither
3=Both

Where do I go to edit the files in the second step? I'm at a loss on that one...

you need a registry editor.. i personally use PHM Regedit.
btw, hklm = HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

when you just highlight the Shell directory (not clicking on the + sign) you should see ShowTitleBarClock and change that to 0. the setting below that, TBOpt, i have it set as 1 so the little battery icon shows.
