What does it mean when the titan_exitbl no longer works?

I've never unlocked my Alltel 6800, I just installed the OEM ROM from HTC's website. Now I am stuck in the bootloader (SPL-1.04) screen, and when I run the exit tool, it says it was sucessful, but my phone just blinks and stays in bootloader. (The tool worked yesterday as I was having trouble).

Ideas, please?
Thanks!

It means you need to flash a rom again.

Or, that you didn't follow the onscreen directions, which have you disable usb connections in activesync before the final exitbl step.

use olipro 2.40 unlocker if your updating to any recent custom ROMs, then reflash the ROM. this may also fix it.

Re: What does it mean when the titan_exitbl no longer works?

Thanks for the ideas. I followed the onscreen instructions, diasbling USB connections as well as shutting down AS programs through task manager. The uxit program WAS working for me several times the day before. Now it acts as though it worked, but the phone just blinks and stays in bootloader.

I was avoiding putting the 2.4 unlocker on it as it was still stock and I was using the OEM ROM. I was trying to find if ALLTEL had an updated bootloader (mines 1.04) but I haven't found anything.

Thanks again for everyone's input!

Re: What does it mean when the titan_exitbl no longer works?

Yes. I used the exit program with sucess a few days ago, and it would go into bootloader screen each time it rebooted. KEEP IN MIND this was bone stock. The only thing I had ever done to the phone was use the HHC to change my today screen, no ROM changes or anything. It just started getting stuck in bootloader when I charged it once.

Now I have updated the ROM to the official Alltel WM 6.0 one, and every once in a while it gets stuck in bootloader again, but now the exit prog doesn't solve it, as I mentioned upthread.

I was finally able to boot normally by doing two things at once, so I don't know which one was responsible;
1) Took out the battery for 15 minutes,
2) put it back in and used the soft reset to start the phone.

Hope you get the answer you're looking for!

Nothing special. PocketEmu's Home Customizer is as radical as it gets. Stock bootloader, stock radio, and stock Alltel ROM downloaded from HTC.

Re: What does it mean when the titan_exitbl no longer works?

Meh. Still stuck in bootloader at each startup, even with Alltel's NEW booter (2.xx) and official ROM (3.35.671.9) and radio (3.37.2)

HTC says its a hardware issue and sent me a new 6800.

I still wish I could have figured this out.
