Help! XV6800 keeps rebooting after ROM flash

Title says it all. Can't figure it out. Upgraded to Olipro 2.40, Radio 3.27, and tried several ROMs. All do the same thing. If it's connected via the usb cable to my computer, it boots up fine, if I unplug it, it starts to reboot. It gets all the way to the today screen, and a few seconds later, it reboots. It is an endless loop, any ideas?

radio 3.27 is most likely the problem. not sure why you are using that...but if you are using the newer roms based on 3.35, you need the newer radio to go with them- radio 3.35. you can find it in the Titan ftp under radios folder.

im gonna give it a try. i dunno why verizon has to be so stingy, it seems like vzw users always have a harder time than sprint users.

Re: Help! XV6800 keeps rebooting after ROM flash

Hmmm, a harder time with VZW you say... try being a Qwest customer. We're still back on Rom 2.13 and Radio 1.39- we don't even have working bluetooth yet (thank god for the PPC and XDa GEEKS everywhere)

I had 4 bars at my house and a $79 unlimited minutes plan until Qwest piggybacked onto Sprint's network a few years ago, since then, i have no bars with any of my phones, a $109 unlimited minutes plan and miss half of my calls

Only saving grace was the price of unlimited minutes, (which is now more expensive than sprint and verizon)

Count your blessings, and Don't get me started on the rest

Re: Help! XV6800 keeps rebooting after ROM flash

Oh, and to actually maybe help with your post... the most stable way to get the 3.35 radio on your PPC has been to load the Sprint 3.35 rom before making changes to other custom roms and radio's .

Just don't load the sprint customizations on 1st boot ( meaning , don't "tap the screen to set it up" )

actually, afaik, radios 3.27 and 3.35 are pretty close to the same, close enough to where it shouldnt cause problems. but he should upgrade nonetheless

Re: Help! XV6800 keeps rebooting after ROM flash

This is a problem with the boot loader not being upgraded to 2.40 from 1.20. If you upgrade the boot loader, you need to refresh it. I had this problem, even after i upgraded, until i removed the battery for a full 30+ seconds and did a hard reset.

Re: Help! XV6800 keeps rebooting after ROM flash

it was the bootloader, but thanks for the help! and as far as flashing the spring rom to my phone, every time i try, the RUU says the ROM isn't compatible with my phone. i've given up on it, i got DCD 2.3.2 working
