XV6800 with 5060 will not wake up

My XV6800, while it works great with the 5060 burn, sometimes will not wake up. The screen is dark and even plugged in, will not come back to life. A softboot fixes it but 15 - 20 minutes later, back to sleep with no revival possible. Yes, I have adjusted my backlite settings but it doesn't help. Usually, when I have a backlite problem, I can hold it up to a lite and see the screen in order to readjust the backlite but in this case, there is nothing to see in a lite.

What also stinks is when I reboot, i have to wait about 10 - 15 minutes before the phone sees the carrier. So I have no phone for a while.
