*911 emergency issue

*911 emergency issue:

Using the stock dialer on the stock sprint new rom on my xv6800 since day it was available. I've had no dialing issues, no ##isues, however I had to dial *911 today and each time it disconnected shortly after connecting to 911.

I would dial *911 and press the send button (I tried both the screen button, and the hard button.

It beeped, switched to emergency mode (which I hate as it is) ring one time, let me talk for about 5 seconds, and then reboot (soft reset). It did this three times in a row, before I looked up the local police landline and just called that.

Good damned thing it wasn't a life or death situation.

Anyone have any Idea what is wrong here, or some ideas to fix this?

I realize I can cook up a new rom and reflash...

However I assume I may not be the only one with this issue, and think being able to dial *911 is pretty mission critical for a phone.
