There is part of the radio that will never be overwritten after going to GPS radios (by current known means) despite the version number actually changing. This can lead to bricks (see sig) but not always immediately. Additionally, there could be some random incompatibilites with an inconsistent radio image.

Thanks for the heads up there. I successfully or so I thought took my xv6800 back to stock 2.09 ce and 1.30.60 radio and used it for a week stock with no apparent ill effects after reverting from dcd 3.01 and 3.35 radio. Won't do it again unless I need to FRU it.
