HTC Home - Please help if you can

Ok, here's the deal, I have VetVito's Black Pill ROM (w/ the HTC Home plugin). However, I use phonealarm and like it better than the HTC Home notifications. I'd also like to get rid of the Favorite People, Launcher, Sound applet & Music Player (in short, all I want to keep is the clock & the weather applet). I have tried HTC Home Customizer, but don't see where it will let me select/deselect particular applets.

Can anyone tell me if there's a way to achieve what I want? If so, tell me what I need to make it happen.

Thank you B~man

If you go to HTC customizer, you will see a tab that says 'tabs'. You can remove them there. I hope that works for you.

htc home customizer allows you to add or remove tabs. there is a tab on the bottom of your HHC screen approiately labeled "tabs". when you click there, it gives you the option to add or remove your today screen tabs

Also check under Settings/Today. There might also be a tab for HTC HOME that you can make these changes. Thats how I do it on my Touch.

Re: HTC Home - Please help if you can

Thanks for the advice, but the HHC didn't work for me. I was able to "remove" the tabs, but when I would return to the today screen, the "removed" tabs are still there and fully functional (even after a few reboots).

However, I now have another issue... Since the HHC didn't do what I installed it to do I figured I'd go ahead and uninstall it. But after removing the program and performing a reboot, the program icon is still in the programs folder (see screencap below) but when I tap it I get an error message and the icon is not the original HHC icon. I have tried a few things, including going thru the registry and removing all instances of "customizer" the search feature could find, but

So my new question is this:

How do I get rid of this orphaned and otherwise useless icon?

Try going into the windows directory and see if you can delete it from Start Menu and click on Programs and then delete the shortcut from there.
